Welcome to the 2024-2025 Athletic Band Program at High Point University! Our band program consists of the High Point University Marching Panthers, "The Spirit of HPU," Volleyball Band, and Men's and Women's Basketball Bands. Although we don't have football at HPU, we have regular rehearsals during the week, we march on campus and off campus performing halftime shows at HPU soccer games, local high school football games and marching band competitions, parades, 1 halftime show on the basketball court per year, and annual domestic or international travel. Our band is comprised of 97% non-music majors. These talented students accept the challenge to support our athletic teams, promote spirit across campus, and have a LOT of fun with other amazing students. The Marching Panthers is open to all students with instrument experience. We have auditions for our drumline, colorguard, and majorette sections. Those take place via video in the fall and spring. Our anticipated rehearsal schedule for 2024-2025 is: Tuesday and Thursday nights 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. We will also reserve Friday nights for performances and final practice before weekend performances. Once you complete this form, you will be accepted into the band and will be eligible for a $5,000 per year scholarship. This scholarship is in addition to any Academic award you receive.

Although submitting this form does not commit you to HPU or the Marching Panthers, completing the form will bring you one step closer to officially being added to our Marching Panthers roster. We cannot wait to make music with you!!
